Wheaton College Graduate School

Founded in 1937, Wheaton College Graduate School offers advanced theological and ministry training designed to enhance your professional education and holistic development. Through doctoral and masters degrees taught by world-class faculty, you will be prepared for effective service in your chosen field.

Our shared theological beliefs shape everything we do at the Wheaton College Graduate School. Originally written in 1924 by Wheaton’s second president, Charles Blanchard, the Statement of Faith guides the leadership, faculty, and students of Wheaton as an academic community of faith.

Our Degree Programs

The Wheaton College Graduate School offers doctoral and master’s degree programs in the areas of psychology, education, ministry, leadership, and bible/theology. Each program is designed to provide excellent training in theory and praxis from a distinctly Christian perspective.

The School of Biblical and Theological Studies offers a variety of graduate programs that promote the development of academic skills necessary for advanced study and service in the church and society worldwide.

The School of Mission, Ministry, and Leadership offers graduate programs that equip current and future leaders of ministries and movements as they work to engage the world for Christ and His Kingdom.

School of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Therapy

The School of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Therapy offers nationally accredited graduate psychology programs that prepare students for licensure. These programs integrate Christian belief and practice with the best of contemporary scholarship and professional standards in the disciplines of clinical psychology, counseling, and marriage and family therapy.

Professional Teaching Degrees

We offer two graduate programs in professional education: the M.A.T. and an M.A. in TESOL and Intercultural Studies. The M.A.T. offers the Elementary (1-6) License and/or the Secondary (6-12) License, and is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). The M.A. in TESOL and Intercultural Studies provides teachers with a solid foundation and the standard professional degree in the field of TESOL.
