Graduate Admissions Office StaffAbout me
I earned my B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and completed an M.A. in Biblical Exegesis at Wheaton College and M.Div. equivalency. I was born and raised in Wheaton, IL, and my family was recognized as a “heritage family” during the city’s sesquicentennial celebration. My maternal grandfather, Mayor Ralph Barger, participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the Billy Graham Center in 1979 along with Dr. Billy Graham and President Hudson Armerding.

Why I love working at Wheaton College in Graduate Admissions
I love working in graduate admissions because I can help students gain a personal vision for how they can serve Christ with their unique gifts and passions. I also love telling stories about the history of Wheaton College.

Graduate Admissions Office StaffAbout me
I was born and raised in southern New Mexico, where the sun shines 360 days a year! I came to Wheaton College for my undergraduate degree and also my M.A. in TESOL and Intercultural Studies. In addition to working at Wheaton, I teach ESL to adults through local community colleges, and am actively involved with the youth ministry at Wheaton Chinese Alliance Church. I love meeting new people, and trying new things.

Why I love working at Wheaton College in Graduate Admissions
I love working in Grad Admissions because as an alumni of the M.A. in TESOL  & Intercultural Studies program, and current teacher in the field of ELA, I realize how valuable my graduate education has been, and how it has shaped and defined my teaching and mission theology. It’s my privilege to be a part of welcoming people to Wheaton and helping them discover how their calling and gifting can be benefited by Wheaton College Graduate School.

Graduate Admissions Office StaffAbout me
I was born in Chicago and raised in Glenview, Illinois. Born to immigrant parents who attended one of the largest Korean immigrant churches in the north-shore suburbs of Chicago, I was culturally and ethnically immersed at home and at church. I had an interest in comparative religions that began in my early teens, and continued in college. I graduated with a BA from the University of Rochester in New York with a degree in religion and classics, and a separate concentration in chemical and biological sciences. It was the summer after sophomore year of college that God encountered me in life-altering ways. It was in the latter years of college and post-college that I grew in my faith. I am grateful to my peers, mentors, and ministers from my college fellowship in Rochester, Agape Christian Fellowship, and from my home church, Lakeview Covenant Church, for their nurturance of my faith during those years and beyond. The last few years, in completing the MA in Christian Formation and Ministry here at Wheaton College Graduate School, was a time of spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth for me. I am most grateful to my professors, classmates, and mentors in the Wheaton community whom have been there for and with me.

Why I love working at Wheaton College in Graduate Admissions
Working at Wheaton College in Graduate Admissions has allowed my past experiences and growing passions to intersect in harmonious ways. When I left my staff position in college ministry to pursue a degree in Christian Formation and Ministry, I realized a growing passion for student and leadership development. It is my joy and privilege to walk alongside prospective graduate students during critical seasons when God is calling them to take the next step of faith.
