The following journal articles were in special issues of the the Journal of Psychology and Christianity. While some articles are aging and do not reflect our programs exactly in current times, they will provide good context for you.

The following materials about the Psy.D. and Ph.D. programs were assembled into portfolios for your review, preparation, and use in decision making. There will be documents like a typical course sequence and tips on work-life balance while in the program, general information about clinical training and research in the programs, program frequently asked questions, financial aid frequently asked questions, and soundbites from alumni.

Please review the following resources.

  • A sampling of clinical psychology faculty publications
  • A bibliography of books and book chapters for some faculty
  • A sampling of poster presentations from students in the faculty member's research lab

This video will give you a rare look into the Wheaton College doctoral programs in clinical psychology through the eyes of students.

A little context - okay, maybe a lot - is needed before you watch this. Each year, the program celebrates and commemorates the year at a banquet on the eve of Spring Commencement. Each of the student cohorts in Year Four, Three, and Two provides a five-to-ten minute video for the class directly behind them as a kind of heads-up. These are often humorous, exaggerated looks at the highs and the lows experienced by students. In 2017, the 4th year students rolled out a parody of the movie Inside Out which touches on a number of joys, anxieties, fears, and excitement that come during the program.

We hope you get a good laugh and a good sense of the programs as you glimpse the life of a Clinical Psychology student at Wheaton College.
