For Ruth, writing is like "cooking. It requires that I slow down. It allows me space to mentally process. It occasionally serves as a great mode for productive procrastination. The idea of sharing it with others can be nerve-wracking, but with a little practice and low-stakes experimentation, that thought becomes less intimidating and the whole process becomes more enjoyable!"
