Wheaton College to Enhance Cybersecurity

Wheaton College is working in partnership with Dominican University, Elmhurst College, Judson College, and North Central College to improve each of our institution's cybersecurity.

These schools worked together to negotiate a contract with GreyCastle Security, a cybersecurity and risk management consulting company. In the coming months, GreyCastle will perform a cybersecurity risk assessment at each institution.

The risk assessment will examine both our current practices and our compliance with federal and other security standards. Once complete, Wheaton College will be able to prioritize improvements to our current security measures.

After the initial assessment, GreyCastle's information security experts will provide Wheaton College and the other institutions with ongoing cybersecurity assistance, including advising on user training.

Even electronic systems rely on people. In order for cybersecurity to work as designed, everyone within an organization has to understand their responsibility. GreyCastle will help provide training resources for those who work with credit cards or others' personal information as well as information for the general College community.

This partnership will allow Wheaton College to maintain a higher standard of cybersecurity in the future.
