The Student Care Services C.A.R.E.S. Connection System is available through the Wheaton portal!
The system provides a C.A.R.E.S. Connection for our campus community. The C.A.R.E.S. Connection represents Care, Advocacy, Resources, Engagement, and Support through intentional and ongoing connections for undergraduate student retention and success. SCS seeks to partner with each student as we strive to provide the best care and support for their success.
The Student C.A.R.E.S. Connection link can be accessed through the Student Care Services C.A.R.E.S. Connection System by clicking on the Wheaton portal's student “undergraduate” tab. The following form is available for undergraduate students.
- The Support and Resource Request Form – Designed to encourage students to self-advocate for their needs and request resources necessary for their success at Wheaton College. This form has options for support and resources to help students with their overall well-being and foster academic success. When a student submits their form, the SCS office will follow up to work with the student regarding their request.
In addition, faculty and staff have a C.A.R.E.S. Connection link that can be accessed through the Student Care Services C.A.R.E.S. System on their Wheaton portal. The following forms are available options for faculty and staff (both undergraduate and graduate).
- The CARES Referral Form – Designed for undergraduate faculty and staff to make a CARES referral regarding a student reported concern, experience with or observation of behaviors that requires coordinated support or response for the well-being of a student. When a faculty or staff submits a CARES Referral about a student, SCS office reaches out to that student to extend follow-up care and coordinated support.
- The Resource Request Form – Designed for faculty and staff to request resources and support through the SCS office as they strive to care well for students.
