New Communication Tool for College Employees

Effective Date: July 31, 2015

During the last week of July, Skype for Business will be installed on campus PCs and Microsoft Lync will be installed on campus Macs. These programs will be the College standard for instant messaging and online audiovisual conferencing.

Impact on College Community

During the last week of July, Skype for Business or Lync will be installed on college-owned machines. This installation will happen automatically for all computers connected to the campus network, and should be in place by 5:00 PM on Friday, July 31. Faculty and staff can sign in using their Wheaton email address and password. 

If possible, we ask that you log out of your computer but leave it powered on the evening of Thursday, July 30.
