Earth and Environmental Science Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing the Earth and Environmental Science program at Wheaton College, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:

  1. Students will apply the analytical and technical skills needed to solve problems in environmental science.
  2. Students will demonstrate the conceptual knowledge and understanding needed to solve problems in Environmental science.
  3. Students will develop professional skills needed in the environmental field.
  4. Graduates will articulate a Christian environmental ethic of stewardship for creation care.
  5. Students will integrate social, political, economic, and cultural considerations into environmental problem-solving.
  6. Students will successfully complete one or more research or internship experiences.
