Improving StarRez for Summer Students

Effective Date: March 19, 2019

As a student you may not be very familiar with what goes on behind-the-scenes when you request your housing each year.  The program Wheaton College uses is called StarRez and it works well for the housing needs of undergrad students each semester.

Over the course of the last few months, we have been looking into expanding StarRez so that it can also be used to help with Event Services, summer conferences, and students studying on campus during the summer.  This new feature will make things more consistent in how rooms are assigned and who has access to know when rooms are available (for cleaning or maintenance, etc.)

There is no change to you, as students, with this upgrade.  You will continue requesting housing as you have done in the past.  And Wheaton College will be further utilizing this software we have invested in so we can better leverage it for the purposes of our students and guests.
