Migration of iFolders to ThunderCloud Storage
Effective Date: December 11, 2015
Academic and Institutional Technology is committed to providing secure and reliable storage for Wheaton College data. As part of this commitment, we are removing outdated or redundant data storage services and moving eligible data into ThunderCloud Storage. We ask all employees who currently use iFolder to move their data into ThunderCloud Storage by Friday, December 11 at 5 PM. iFolder will be retired at that time, and any files saved in iFolder will not be backed up.
Key Benefits and Features
ThunderCloud Storage has a number of advantages over iFolder:
- Unlimited Storage – No more storage quotas.
- Secure mobile access to files.
- Ability to share folders and files.
Impact on College Community
Employees who are currently using iFolder will need to move their files by Friday, December 11 at 5 PM to ensure uninterrupted access. iFolder will be retired at that time, and any files saved in iFolder will not be backed up.
