Switching Phone Service Provider

Effective Date: November 13, 2018

Wheaton College will be switching phone service providers this autumn and we have selected CenturyLink as our new provider.  This change will happen in two phases—the testing on November 13, and then the implementation at a later date.  Once implemented, this change should be transparent to campus phone users.

This transition offers a number of exciting benefits for the college.

Impact on College Community

On Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 8-10pm we will be switching the campus phones.  During this time, campus phones will not be able to make or receive off-campus calls.  Calls between campus phones will work as normal, as will outside calls to Public Safety (x5911.)  Your cell phone service will not be affected.
