Language Coach Courses
Equipping you to help others learn a new language and culture

- Do you need resources, knowledge, and tools to better support language learners?
ICCT offers fully online non-credit courses for those who work with on-field language and culture learners. Through active engagement with videos, short readings, personal reflection, practical assignments, and small-group discussions, each course helps current language coaches improve their skills and new coaches get off to a good start.
We currently offer three courses: “Foundations of Language Coaching,” “Listen Up and Speak Out: Helping Learners Develop Oral Skills,” and "Learner Assessment.” A fourth course, “Coaching Learners for Ministry Language” will be available later.
Each course is five weeks in length and requires about 4-6 hours per week. Flexibility has been built into the learning experience, allowing you to be online on days and times that are convenient for you. Throughout each course you will interact with other coaches and receive frequent individualized feedback from the instructor. You will also receive multiple learning resources to use with those you are coaching.

This course equips new and experienced coaches with foundational principles and concepts for guiding learners through each stage of their learning journey toward effective communication and heart-language ministry.
Prerequisite for all other ICCT language coaching courses. 10 modules over 5 weeks. $300.
This course offers a framework and practical suggestions for developing or revising the oral component of a language program and helping learners develop oral proficiency.
Prerequisite: Foundations of Language Coaching. 15 modules over 5 weeks. $325.
This course addresses oral proficiency assessment, language portfolios, and easy-touse assessments that can make a big difference in keeping your learners on track,staying motivated, and accelerating their daily progress.
Prerequisite: Foundations of Language Coaching. 15 modules over 5 weeks. $325.
This course equips coaches with a step-by-step approach for coaching learners to handle worship and ministry tasks in the heart language, including defining goals, selecting level-appropriate tasks, implementing learning activities, and using basic assessment procedures.
Prerequisite: Foundations of Language Coaching. Free for the first few months after the course becomes available. Coming soon.
