Mina Minanond
Psy.D. Student
Mina is a first-year doctoral student in a Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program. She has worked in the counseling field since 2023 as a clinical mental health counselor and continues applying these skills in her current role as a Student Support Coordinator for the HNGR program at Wheaton College. Her long-term vision is to support cross-cultural religious social workers (missionaries) in least-reached areas by offering psychoeducation and practical tools that strengthen community emotional well-being. She hopes to serve as a psychologist in regions where mental-health needs far exceed available providers. Mina aims to offer individual and group counseling to people who have experienced trauma, abuse, exploitation, relational difficulties, or other vulnerability factors. She is equally committed to broadening access to mental-health knowledge through a “training people to train people” approach, equipping local leaders and volunteers with trauma-informed care skills that build sustainable, multiplied impact. She also hopes to partner with organizations and advocacy groups that serve vulnerable populations, contributing to stronger networks of support and long-term community resilience.
