Duo Successfully Rolled Out to Students
On Tuesday, February 22, we rolled out Duo Multi-Factor Authentication for all graduate and undergraduate students at Wheaton College. This means that all faculty, staff, and students are now protected by Duo when logging into the Wheaton Portal and most of the apps (such as Schoology and BannerWeb) which are accessed via the Portal.
Natalie Hellier (a second year Master’s student in the HESD program) told AIT the following: “This was a super, super simple set up process! Thanks for making it easy for us to protect Wheaton! :)” That is the kind of feedback that we love to hear!
Now is a good time to remind you that you should never approve a Duo Push if you did not request it. If a Duo Push comes through that you do not expect, go ahead and deny it. That means whatever nefarious person (or bot) that is trying to get into a system in your name will not be able to do so. And that keeps us all a little bit safer.
