Spanish Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing the Spanish program at Wheaton College, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:

1. Demonstrates advanced level receptive (listening, reading) and productive (speaking, writing) skills.
2. Identifies key issues and norms governing contemporary and/or historical target culture(s).
3. Analyzes literary or other cultural products in the target context.
4. Identifies and appreciates diversities of the target culture(s).
5. Articulates diverse expressions of religion in the global Hispanic community and reflects on how these expressions relate to foundational values of the Christian faith, including one’s own.
