Chinese Language and Culture Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing the Chinese Language and Culture program at Wheaton College, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:

  1. Demonstration of advanced-level language skills in reading, speaking, and writing.
  2. Identifies key issues and norms governing contemporary and/or historical target culture.
  3. Analyzes literary or other cultural products in the target context.
  4. Identifies and appreciates diversities of the target culture.
  5. Articulates diverse expressions of Christianity among peoples and cultures, including one’s own.
  6. Relates religious practices, experiences and views of diverse cultures to foundational values of the Christian faith.
