Wheaton College Competitive Fellowship Application Process

These steps should be followed when applying for a fellowship or scholarship that includes a campus faculty advisor. These are Goldwater, Boren, DAAD, Fulbright, Gates, Harvey, Lily, Marshall, Rhodes, Truman and Udall.

  1. A Curriculum Vita (CV) listing education, work experience, extracurricular activities, achievements and awards, etc. This should include your GPA.
  2. The name, email address, and phone number of a Wheaton College professor who would be willing to give a verbal endorsement of your application.
  3. A 1000-word personal statement in which you outline your reasons for wanting to apply for a competitive scholarship (you may name a specific scholarship or discuss these opportunities in more general terms). This should encompass both your qualifications for what you want to do, as well as your vision of future work. You can consult the Wheaton College Competitive Scholarship website for links to resources that will help you think about the personal statement.

Send this as an email attachment to competitive.scholarships@wheaton.edu before the deadline.
