Mark your calendars! Family Weekend is scheduled for November 3-4, 2023. 

Parents, grandparents, and siblings are invited to attend!

The schedule below is an EXAMPLE of what you might expect over Family Weekend.

9:00 am – 3:00 pm Family Weekend Welcome Table
Have a question about the weekend? Stop by the welcome table in the lower level of the Beamer Center to learn more about weekend campus activities. While you are there, pick up a calendar magnet and other giveaways!

9:00am - 5:00 pm Admissions Individual Visit 
Calling all rising 9th-12th grade siblings! Participate in an official “visit” to Wheaton while waiting for your older sibling to get out of class. Take a campus tour, learn about Wheaton, and attend chapel. Advanced registration required. Email admissions@wheaton.edu with questions.

9:00 am – 2:00 pm Informal Parent Meet and Greet
While your student is in class, pop into the Fireside Room to meet fellow parents and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. There is no agenda other than to connect with other parents. Come and meet someone new!

10:40 am - 11:20 am Chapel
We're expecting a full house! Current parents Matt and Beth Redman will be our special guests in Chapel. Matt, a well-known worship leader and songwriter will lead worship and Beth will speak on the topic of rest. Guests are invited to sit on the right side of the balcony (right side when looking at the stage) and when those seats are filled, will be invited to remain in the lobby and watch on the TV monitors or watch the livestream on their own in a different location.

Drop by the Great Hall at the Welcome Center for a snack and a gift just for you! Connect with Admissions staff members and learn about Wheaton with other prospective students.

Visit your son's or daughter's room, meet their roommate or hall mate, and chat with their Resident Assistant.
4:45 pm – 6:00 pm Football Chapel
Every Friday before home games, the football team gathers for worship. Everyone is invited to come take part in the service.

5:00 pm College Union Talent Show - Early Performance
Marvel at the talents of Wheaton College students at this event that attracts over 1,500 spectators each year. Early and late performances are identical, and doors open 30 minutes before the show begins. Tickets are required and are $10 each. There will be no cash sales. Purchase tickets now

8:00 pm College Union Talent Show - Late Performance
Marvel at the talents of Wheaton College students at this event that attracts over 2,000 spectators each year. Early and late performances are identical, and doors open 30 minutes before the show begins. Tickets are required and are $10 each. There will be no cash sales. Purchase tickets now

Join with other Wheaton parents to hear a special devotional message from President Ryken and pray together for students and Wheaton College. Coffee, tea, and light pastries will be provided. There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is required.

10:30 am - 11:00 am Story Time at the Wade Center
The Marion E. Wade Center presents an abridged retelling of George MacDonald's The Light Princess. A princess is cursed with constant weightlessness until one day love finally brings her back down to earth for good. George MacDonald's fairy tales are appropriate for children ages 5 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

11:00 am - 12:00 pm HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development Information Session
Join us and explore opportunities for your student at HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development. You’ll learn about: Wheaton in the Northwoods, Summer Leadership School, and Wheaton College Leadership Certificate.

12:00 pm   Men's and Women's Cross Country - CCIW Championships
Position yourself along the cross-country course and encourage the Wheaton Thunder athletes competing in the CCIW Cross Country Championships
St. James Farm Forest Preserve, Warrenville, IL 
1:00 pm  Football Game - Wheaton vs. Millikin 
Come cheer on the Wheaton Thunder! Tickets may be purchased at the gate and cost $7 adult/$5 children 3-18 and senior citizens. Wheaton students, faculty, and staff are free with college I.D.
McCully Stadium 
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Open Residence Halls

Women's Soccer - CCIW Soccer Tournament, First Round
Wheaton vs Carthage 
Come cheer for the Thunder as they host the first round of the 2022 CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament! Wheaton students get free admission with a valid Wheaton student ID. Admission for adults is $10, $5 for seniors (65+) and students/children (6+). Children ages five and under are admitted free.

7:30 pm  Family Weekend Concert: Choral Showcase 
The Wheaton College Conservatory of Music presents a Family Weekend Concert featuring the Concert Choir, Men's Glee Club, and Women's Chorale. Admission is free. Watch the concert live at wheaton.edu/streaming
