Our department encourages physics students to pursue internships to expand and enhance their understanding of the broad applications of a physics education and to build vocational experience. We actively partner with the Wheaton College Center for Vocation and Career to support students as they pursue and engage in internships.
Rachel Barron ’21

Aside from technical projects, a major aspect of the internship was the opportunity to develop in becoming a community leader: becoming someone who creates community between fellow interns and invests in relationships with other Abbott employees. This was particularly challenging since the interns were remote but, it provided a unique opportunity to develop community with interns and Abbott employees across the globe.
