Competitions

Our students participate in a variety of local, national, and international mathematics competitions.

The ACCA Calculus Competition

This competition is given each spring semester and is open to any full-time student. ACCA, or the Associated Colleges of the Chicago Area, consists of about 16 schools.

The Putnam Competition

This national collegiate mathematics competition, sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America, is offered every year in December to well over two thousand students in the U.S., including many of the brightest future mathematicians.

Budapest Semester

This program offers a semester of study at the University of Budapest with other U.S. college students. It is an excellent experience for anyone considering a doctoral program in mathematics. Here's how to get more information (and the application materials).
