Chemistry Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing the Chemistry program at Wheaton College, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:

  1. Effectively apply fundamental knowledge across the five core sub-disciplines of chemistry (organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, biochemical).
  2. Competently perform foundational techniques and procedures in the chemistry laboratory.
  3. Clearly communicate chemical principles, theories, observations, and/or experimental results using appropriate disciplinary conventions and genres (e.g., laboratory reports, literature summaries, oral presentations, poster presentations).
  4. Independently articulate a personal vision for integrating faith and learning within chemistry.
