Hello, my name is Tess Hanson De Pretis and I am going to be your Admissions Counselor! I am so excited to hear that you are interested in attending Wheaton College and I cannot wait to embark on this journey alongside you.

The Lord led me to Wheaton in January 2018, and I graduated in 2021 with a degree in Anthropology. While on campus, I was able to participate in the Transfer Orientation Committee (I was a transfer student myself), Archaeology Cabinet, Feminist Club Cabinet, and I served as a Class Chaplain. Through programs offered at Wheaton, I had the opportunity to take summer classes in northern Wisconsin and to excavate Middle Bronze Age material culture in Israel/Palestine (ask me about other study abroad opportunities through the college –there is an extensive list). Hey there! It is an honor to welcome you to Wheaton College. As a recent alumnus of the Graduate School, I am an enthusiastic proponent of a Christian liberal arts education. Through the integration of faith and learning, Wheaton is a community that fosters intellectual, spiritual and personal growth.

Growing up, my dream was to study at Wheaton for my undergrad but I ended up going to the University of Oklahoma instead (Boomer Sooner!). I came to Wheaton for my masters during the height of Covid, though, and just graduated with a degree in Higher Education and Student Development. Read more about me.
