In a country with many government-funded professional choirs filled with magnificent singers, the National Chorus of Korea is the BEST OF THE BEST.

"Their performances are beautifully shaped, engagingly sung, and marked with great vocal and visual beauty. Their performance in February of 2023 in Cincinnati at the National Conference of the American Choral Directors Association was nothing short of spellbinding!"—Jerry Blackstone, Visiting Professor of Choral Conducting at Wheaton College and Professor Emeritus of Conducting at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

It’s not every day we get to hear the best of the best. On Friday, September 22th at 7:30 p.m., the renowned National Chorus of Korea will perform a live concert of choral music in Edman Chapel on the Wheaton College Artist Series.

If music is a universal language, then the National Chorus of Korea speaks it fluently. Their tours have taken them to the far corners of the planet. And when language barriers limit us, chorus music frees us to understand and to celebrate our common humanity.

Jerry Blackstone speaks of their, “beautifully shaped, engagingly sung,” performances, “marked with great vocal and visual beauty.”

This, coupled with the Korean love of drama and storytelling almost certainly ensures another great evening of music from a country rich in culture and the arts. Come join us for this choral spectacular on Friday, September 22.
