Faculty Profiles

After graduating from Wheaton College with a degree in Sociology, Ms. Riley stayed in the city of Wheaton and found a temporary job as manager of a small, but expanding, retail gift shop. This was a difficult time in her life as she struggled to find the place God wanted for her in this world. He taught her patience as she watched and waited for His timing in her life and career. And He was faithful!

After four long years (at her “temporary” job), Ms. Riley was offered a position as the office and account manager for a marketing and strategic planning organization that works primarily with Christian organizations. It was there that she enjoyed a rich career and working partnerships with many Christian coworkers and clients. After nine years, Ms. Riley sensed she needed a change; the Lord placed her in a wonderful Christian radio ministry as Promotional Director.

During this time of her employment, Ms. Riley met her wonderful husband, Robert (also a Wheaton grad!), and they eventually had two children, Kevin and Emma. After the birth of their children, she enjoyed many years as a stay-at-home mom, volunteering in the public school system and serving in their church.

Although Ms. Riley enjoys the administrative aspect of her position, her greatest delight is her interactions with students. Ms. Riley loves walking through life’s challenges and encouraging these young men and women in their pursuit of wisdom and knowledge and their walk with Jesus.

Ms. Riley's life is full, as wife and mother, as she shepherds her children through the teen years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling with her family, and biking.
