Student Government has two Conference Grant programs, the Conference Presentation Grant Program and the Conference Attendance Grant Program. Continue exploring this page to view information on both of these programs and how you can apply.

Conference Presentation Grant

Instructions:

The Conference Presentation Grants Program helps undergraduate students present at academic conferences by rewarding funds for registration and presentation fees related to the conference. In order to apply, a student must download the application form found below, fill it out, and submit it through the Google Form linked to on this page. Students can also obtain a hard copy of the application in the SIO, and turn it in there once having filled it out. The applicant must also contact a faculty member about a recommendation letter which will be sent to the EVP of Academic Affairs. Signatures from various offices confirming that the applicant is in good standing are required as well and should be obtained through emailing those offices and forwarding their responses to the EVP of Academic Affairs.

Step by Step:

  1. Download the Conference Presentation Grant Application found below on the SG website, or obtain a physical copy from the SIO
  2. Read over the application
  3. Send the Faculty Recommendation Survey to a faculty member
  4. Contact relevant offices to confirm good standing and forward their responses to the EVP of Academic Affairs
  5. Fill out the application
  6. Submit the application in PDF format via the Google Form found on the SG website below, or in the SIO

Instructions:

The Conference Attendance Grant Program exists to reimburse students who, on behalf of Wheaton College and its mission to further Christ’s kingdom, attend conferences that will inform their vocational discernment and future scholarly projects and/or research. It is important to note the distinction between the CAG program and the Conference Presentation Grant (CPG) program. If you will be presenting an academic paper or performing a musical piece, you must apply for a Conference Presentation Grant.

In order to apply, a student must download the application form found below, fill it out, and submit it through the Google Form linked to on this page. Students can also obtain a hard copy of the application in the SIO, and turn it in there once having filled it out. The applicant must also confirm (through email) with the Registrar’s Office that he/she is not on academic probation, either by forwarding the Office’s response to the EVP of Academic Affairs or including a screenshot of their confirmation on the application. confirmation on the application.
