Michigan and Crescent Apartments
Jason Cheng is a first-year GRA in the Michigan and Crescent Apartments. He graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a dual Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and Finance. He has also completed a Master's of Biblical Studies at Wheaton College Graduate School and is pursuing his second master's degree in Biblical Exegesis. Jason has worked for the past 7 years in the corporate workplace as a commercial property adjuster and as a project manager. He is excited to make his move out of the corporate workplace and pursue a degree full-time and work with students. In his free time, Jason has recently picked up rock climbing and is an avid Chicago sports fan.
Anne Hillstrom is a first year GRA in the Terrace Apartments while pursuing her master’s in Christian Formation and Ministry with a concentration in Student Development. She was born and raised in West Chicago, Illinois and attended Taylor University in Indiana for her undergrad with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In her free time, Anne is a Young Life leader and loves to be outside, running, traveling (especially to the mountains!), and spending time with her friends and family.
College Avenue Apartments
Joshua Kilgo is the new GRA in College Avenue Apartments. He is pursuing a Masters in Intercultural Studies with a focus in Development. He received a bachelor's degree from Montreat College in Outdoor Ministry and after working in a summer camp ministry while in high school, he is passionate about working with families and children. Trying new things and meeting new people are always a joy for him. He and his new wife, Latreece, look forward to settling in and meeting their neighbors.
College Avenue Apartments
Tuwa Karnley is pleased to serve both Residence Life and the OMD for 2018-2020. Tuwa was born in Atlanta, GA but spent most of her life in the beautiful (read: best) state of Maryland. In 2015 she earned her BA in International Studies with a concentration in Development from Spelman College in Atlanta. Following this she spent a year working in youth ministry and outreach at her church in Maryland. She is now pursuing her MA in Systematic Theology here at Wheaton College specifically interested in social justice and ecclesiology. She is eager to see what God has in store for these two next years! In her free time Tuwa loves reading, chatting with friends, and craft projects.
Michael Yorke will be serving as the first -year GRA in the Terrace Apartments, as well as working with the Dean of Residence Life. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a B.A. in Urban Ministry before working with the non-profit organization Children's Hunger Fund, as a ministry development coordinator. Last year he married his best friend, Chelsea, and they love to watch shows, sing loudly, and break into spontaneous improv games. Michael is currently pursuing a Mater of Arts in Theology with an historical emphasis. He is passionate about discipleship and the local church. In his free time Michael is probably playing basketball, listening to music, or reading a novel. He also loves a good conversation about anything from theater to theology.
Saint and Elliott Apartments
Hannah Ramsey is a first-year GRA in the Saint and Elliot Apartments. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in English and Secondary Education, and is pursuing her master's degree in TESOL and Intercultural Studies. Though she has previously spent two years overseas and six years in Arkansas, she is originally a Chicago-land native and is looking forward to being back. She has a love for learning about different cultures, exploring new places, and hearing people's stories. In her free time she enjoys attempting to cook (and eat) recipes from around the world, reading inspiring biographies, drinking dark roast coffee, and being outdoors whenever possible.
