Karen Hurula, Psy.D.

Dr. Hurula trained in a variety of settings including the Wheaton College Counseling Center. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute, training in both their Anxiety and OCD clinic and their Psychology and Religion program.
Dr. Hurula specializes in crisis diagnosis and intervention and the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. She believes strongly in the mind/body/soul connection and enjoys helping individuals with spiritual concerns and sexual orientation issues. Dr. Hurula is an MK/TCK, and was raised by her missionary parents in Mexico City, Mexico, and speaks Spanish fluently. Her professional memberships include; American Psychological Association and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies.
