The Batson Shakespeare Society sponsors a variety of activities on campus, including panels, exhibits, lectures, performances, and readings. Details about upcoming events are below. These events are open to the public and welcome all Shakespeare enthusiasts. Upcoming Schedule of Activities
Fall 2025
- Perspectives on The Winter's Tale Interdisciplinary Panel. Wednesday, September 24 at 7:00 pm. Featuring Wheaton College faculty members from English, Biblical and Theological Studies, and Communication, this panel will explore various facets of The Winter's Tale from a range of disciplinary lenses. This event is open to the public and will be held in the Bakke Auditorium at the Marion E. Wade Center.
- Sonnets and Cider. Wednesday, October 8 at 7:00 pm. Join the Batson Shakespeare Society for s'mores, cider, and poetry reading around the campfire.
Spring 2026
- E. Beatrice Batson Shakespeare Lecture. On Wednesday, March 25 at 7:00 pm, Dr. Grace Tiffany will present the fifth annual Batson lecture. This event is open to the public and will be held in the Bakke Auditorium at the Marion E. Wade Center.
- Shakespeare Movie Night. Join the Batson Shakespeare Society for Shakespeare on the big screen! Movie snacks provided. More details forthcoming.
