The program brought together 80 exceptional scientists under the age of 45 whose work is advancing the frontiers of knowledge in their respective disciplines. Fellows were selected based on their significant research contributions and their potential for leadership within the scientific community.

During the multi-day symposium, Fellows engaged in interdisciplinary discussions on cutting-edge discoveries across a wide range of scientific fields, fostering collaborations that could lead to future solutions for complex scientific challenges.

Dr. Schroeder, whose current research is supported by a National Science Foundation CAREER award, studies how electromagnetic waves in plasma accelerate charged particles. Wheaton College is grateful for Dr. Schroeder’s leadership in this innovative research and his dedication to mentoring undergraduate researchers through hands-on scientific inquiry.
