CSA at Wheaton College provides music lessons to nearly 600 students from 50 Chicago suburbs including Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Carol Stream, Winfield, West Chicago, Lombard, Lisle, Downers Grove and Aurora.

Comprehensive programming

Founded in 1970, Wheaton College Community School of the Arts (CSA) annually serves nearly 600 students – birth to adult through a variety of comprehensive music programs. Since its inception, the school has provided a stimulating and nurturing Christian environment for learning and performing. 

Instructors

Our long-standing instructors hold advanced degrees in their respective disciplines and are experienced in working with students of all ages and ability levels.  Frequent feedback, received from students and parents alike, reflects observations of the genuine dedication and commitment demonstrated by our teachers.

Accreditation

Wheaton College is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), and CSA is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education, the Music Teachers National Association, and the Suzuki Association of the Americas

At CSA, you will find a college campus environment with first-rate performance venues, teaching studios with Conservatory-quality instruments.

Performance & Enrichment

CSA music students participate in annual large-scale concerts and festivals. Numerous enrichment opportunities are available to students, including a chamber program, workshops, and summer programs.

Conservatory Connections

A CSA Family Pass is available for free admission to Wheaton College Conservatory events, including concerts by the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Choirs, as well as the Percussion and Jazz Ensembles. Additionally, CSA students have regular opportunities for interaction with college undergrads who serve as interns, accompanists, and teaching assistants.
