Our analysis resulted in six themes, outlined in this report as “promising strategies.” Two of these strategies relate to camp philosophy, one each to the three key audiences identified in the study, and the final one to camp leadership.
About the Growing Faith Together Project To empower parents and caregivers in family faith formation by leveraging the power of camp experiences.
This project is a four-year, nationwide, cross-denominational initiative coordinated by the HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development of Wheaton College. Generously funded by Lilly Endowment Inc., the project focuses on fostering faith through a series of key partnerships: among parents and caregivers, between camps, congregations, and the home, connecting practitioners with academia, and bridging different Christian traditions. We are bringing together a diverse group of scholars and practitioners from Lutheran, United Methodist, and Evangelical backgrounds, drawing on their rich experience in camp ministry, clergy roles, and academic settings.
