HoneyRock & Passage Office Coordinator

On Staff since 2019
Schell Hall, Wheaton College
HoneyRock Office, Schell Hall, Wheaton College

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. I first came to HoneyRock in the summer of 1987 with the encouragement of my stepfather, Lee Clausen. Jesus became relatable and real to me at HoneyRock, and during the summer of 1988, I accepted Jesus as my Savior. Overall, I spent 11 summers at HoneyRock as a camper, assistant counselor, in the Trip Locker, on Operations Staff, and as a Unit Leader. Time and time again, HoneyRock has been the place where God has met me and provided me with connections to His creation and His people in very real ways. The experiences and relationships I developed at HoneyRock as a child and teenager were deeply influential as I pursued an education degree from the University of Idaho and eventually a Master’s in Outdoor Recreation Administration from Aurora University.

As the HoneyRock & Passage Office Coordinator, I have the opportunity to work with summer staff, Wheaton students, and staff and faculty. I have the benefit of being deeply connected to the mission and vision of HoneyRock from Wheaton’s campus. I am able to use my administrative gifts and heart for developing relationships to bring the Northwoods and Southwoods campus of HoneyRock/Wheaton College closer together. It really is incredible to see how the Lord has prepared me for this role!

My husband Brian and I live in the western suburbs, and we have two children who have also had the privilege of attending HoneyRock during the summer. In my free time, you can find me enthusiastically cheering my kids on in their activities, volunteering with our church, and looking for any way to be outdoors.
