Getting To and From Summer Camp at HoneyRock

HoneyRock offers coach bus transportation to and from camp from several locations for your convenience. Check the details below carefully, as pick-up and drop-off options vary by location and camp program.

Bus transportation costs $95 each way per camper.

Bus check-in is when a parent or guardian drops off a camper before their session. Bus check-out is when a parent or guardian picks up a camper after their session.

Bus Check-In and Check-Out Locations

Wheaton College — Available for All Programs and Dates

• Bus check-in: 6:30 a.m. (8:00 a.m. for Catalyst 2)
• Bus check-out: Approximately 2:30 p.m.

Wheaton is our largest camper check-in location. Check-in may take 60–90 minutes, primarily because of medication processing. To help things go smoothly, make sure your camper’s medication information is entered in their HoneyRock account and that all medication is labeled with your camper’s name, dosage, and expiration date.

These stops are available on the way to HoneyRock. Bus check-out is not offered at these locations for Summer 2027.

Schaumburg, IL — Streets of Woodfield

• Bus check-in: 8:00 a.m.
• Bus check-out: Not available
• Location: I-290, Exit 1B, near Streets of Woodfield and LEGOLAND Discovery Center

Westfield, WI — WisDOT Rest Area 82

• Bus check-in: 11:30 a.m.
• Bus check-out: Not available; use the Madison Culver’s stop listed below.
• Location: Rest Area 82, mile marker 117, Westfield, WI

Additional Bus Check-Out Location Only

This stop is available on the return trip from HoneyRock. Bus check-in is not offered here; campers must check in at Westfield, WI. This stop is not offered on the way to HoneyRock for Summer 2027.

Culver’s Restaurant — Dane/DeForest, WI

• Bus check-in: Not available
• Bus check-out: 11:30 a.m.
• Location: Exit 126 (Dane/DeForest), east side of I-90/94. The restaurant is visible from the northbound highway.

If bus passenger numbers are low, HoneyRock may use a 12-passenger van instead of a coach bus. Drivers are trained and certified by HoneyRock and Wheaton College to operate these vehicles.

Drop Off at HoneyRock

If you are driving your child directly to camp, please arrive between 1:30 - 3:30 pm* for check-in on the day the camp session begins. Upon arrival, our staff will direct you to the check-in area (Day Camp excluded).

*Catalyst 2 drop off at HoneyRock is from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on their arrival day.

Pick Up at HoneyRock

If you are picking up your child from camp on the last day of the session, please arrive by 9:00 am on their departure day to participate in Family Day and pick up your camper (1:00pm for Catalyst Family Day). If someone other than you is picking up your child from camp, complete the Transportation Authorization Form in your camper's HoneyRock account prior to the departure date.

• Authorizing another adult to pick up your camper? Complete our Transportation Authorization Form by logging into your HoneyRock account.

Campers flying to HoneyRock must arrive at one of these airports:

• Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) in Mosinee, WI
• Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport (RHI)

Airport shuttle fees are $150 each way from CWA and $75 each way from RHI. Shuttle fees will be billed to your HoneyRock account.

If your camper is flying as an unaccompanied minor, check with the airline in advance for its policies, requirements, and fees. Contact your airline ahead of time about any additional charges. HoneyRock is not responsible for extra baggage costs or unaccompanied-minor fees.

Flight Arrival and Departure Times

Please book flights within these windows:

• Arrival: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. on the first day of your camper’s session
• Departure: 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. on the final day of the session

Please note: Catalyst 1 and Catalyst 2 sessions end on Saturdays. All other programs end on Fridays.

Travel Money

Send only the money your camper will need for travel. Do not send Beehive (camp store) funds for this purpose; we cannot withdraw Beehive funds to pay for the trip home.

If sending travel money with your camper, place it in a sealed envelope labeled with their name and the amount. Pack it somewhere your camper knows to look.
