Yes, we provide counseling for any relationship that needs help. This may include roommates, work colleagues, sport-team members, foster families, just to name a few.
The number of sessions depends upon the concerns that you would like to address in therapy. Some clients find symptom relief and changes in 9-12 sessions, while others may opt for more sessions to reach their goals. We tailor therapy to meet your needs and will work with you to determine the optimal number of sessions.
We currently accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO. For all other insurances, we recommend checking with your network to determine if they reimburse for out-of-network providers. If needed, we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Click here for more information.

Yes, if your religion or spirituality are important to you, it is possible to integrate your faith into therapy. The MFT Clinic is an Academic Care Center, like a teaching hospital. We provide essential mental health care to people in Illinois (and beyond) while training therapy interns who attend the MFT master’s program at Wheaton College. Our small cohort of intern therapists receive intensive training academically and clinically.
Many clients work directly with an intern therapist. Meanwhile, the therapist receives close supervision by dedicated faculty experts behind the scenes. Together, your intern and faculty provide you with state-of-the art, insightful care.
At The MFT Clinic, you will have a seasoned expert who is carefully thinking through the latest interventions to determine the approach that fits best for you and your loved ones.
