As Director of International Student Programs, Jerry empowers international students (F-1 visa, MKs & TCKs) to flourish by advising student organizations (Axis, Ladder, International Apartments, and MuKappa), advocating for international student needs, mentoring students, and providing leadership for immigration services. Partnering with his office staff and student leaders, Jerry seeks to fulfill a vision of developing students as followers of Christ and global citizens through relationships that foster belonging, active learning experiences, and meaningful engagement with their communities. He considers it a privilege to know God more deeply through his experience, and support of, a vibrant and multicultural community at Wheaton.
Jerry celebrates daily the gift of being husband to Joan (’07), and father to Noah and Luther. He enjoys cooking traditional foods from Ecuador (where his family is from) and Chile (where he lived until high school) and is an avid fan of world futbol. On Sundays, you can find Jerry at Wellspring Alliance Church where he worships in community and teaches Sunday school for K-5th graders.

Cheryl has worked in International Education for almost 15 years. As the Office Coordinator, she works to keep the office organized and running smoothly but also to be a home away from home for Wheaton students. Her favorite things about the ISP office are when it is full of students hanging out and speaking different languages and the privilege of praying for our students.
Cheryl attends The Chapel in Hinsdale with her family. She and her husband Mark will soon be empty nesters as the last of three children is off to college. That gives her more time to walk her Yellow Lab named Baby, watch baseball, and cook new things.

Olivia is currently pursuing an M.A. In the Higher Education and Student Development (HESD) program and she is excited to get to know the international students on campus and learn from the unique perspectives that they bring. Olivia says, "Through the sharing of our diverse experiences, we gain a more complete picture of the beauty and supremacy of our God." Olivia came to Wheaton College as an international student from Indonesia and was encouraged and supported by the international community here. She hopes to foster a safe space for students and to be a source of support throughout their college journeys.
In her free time, you can catch Olivia playing badminton, studying on the 5th floor of the BGC or at a coffee shop downtown Wheaton.
