Meet Our Team

Jerry WoehrJerry Woehr

Director

jerry.woehr@wheaton.edu

B.A., Wheaton College, 2008
M.A., Wheaton College, 2013

As Director of International Student Programs, Jerry empowers international students (F-1 visa, MKs & TCKs) to flourish by advising student organizations (Axis, Ladder, International Apartments, and MuKappa), advocating for international student needs, mentoring students, and providing leadership for immigration services. Partnering with his office staff and student leaders, Jerry seeks to fulfill a vision of developing students as followers of Christ and global citizens through relationships that foster belonging, active learning experiences, and meaningful engagement with their communities. He considers it a privilege to know God more deeply through his experience, and support of, a vibrant and multicultural community at Wheaton.

Jerry celebrates daily the gift of being husband to Joan (’07), and father to Noah and Luther. He enjoys cooking traditional foods from Ecuador (where his family is from) and Chile (where he lived until high school) and is an avid fan of world futbol. On Sundays, you can find Jerry at Wellspring Alliance Church where he worships in community and teaches Sunday school for K-5th graders.

Corrie JohnsonCorrie Johnson

Immigration Advisor & Office Coordinator

corrie.johnson@wheaton.edu

B.A., Wheaton College, 1996
M.A., SIT Graduate Institute, 2017

As a '96 alumna, Corrie attributes much of the long-term trajectory of her life after Wheaton to the experiences and learning gained from involvement in various intercultural settings. Because of this, she seeks to be sensitive to the unique needs that international students have in adjusting to the U.S. culture and campus life in which they find themselves here. She is also passionate about supporting college students desiring to grow in their capacities to become strong and effective leaders in our increasingly globalized society. In this specific role, Corrie hopes to provide helpful assistance to F-1 international students as they navigate the immigration process, as well as provide overall support within the ISP in its goals to foster belonging, connection, and engagement for all international students at Wheaton.

Corrie and her husband, Jamie, along with their two kids, Micah and Abby, are grateful to call Wheaton home and love to host gatherings of new friends and old from all parts of the globe. Feel free to invite yourself over anytime, as you will be most definitely welcome!

Nou Chee YangNou Chee Yang

Graduate Assistant

NouChee.Yang@my.wheaton.edu

B.A., University of North Carolina at Charlotte, 2019
M.A., Wheaton College, 2024

After attending summer conferences at Wheaton, Nou Chee has returned to pursue a M.A in Higher Education and Student Development. Her heart is to walk alongside college students as we learn that life is not just about trusting the process but truly trusting in the One - Jesus, who holds, knows, and understands it all. She loves that God is so creative, although we may be distinctively different in culture, and that we share being image bearers as His sons and daughters.

Nou Chee’s parents are from Southeast Asia, but she was born and raised in North Carolina where she leaves her family, friends, and home church to be a part of what God is doing at Wheaton. She looks forward to snow, snow, and snow. She is most excited to listen and learn about the many, different life experiences that make up the Wheaton international student community.

You can visit us in Lower Beamer, 061!
