Handel’s Messiah
Reimagined by the Wheaton College Concert Choir and Chamber Orchestra
Under the direction of John William Trotter, the Wheaton College Concert Choir and Chamber Orchestra offered a bold and deeply expressive reimagining of Handel’s beloved Messiah. Sung entirely from memory, the performance combined movement, dramatic tableaux, and moments of dance to infuse the masterpiece with striking immediacy and emotional clarity. Spoken‑word reflections woven throughout the work bridged ancient texts and contemporary questions, inviting audiences into a renewed encounter with the gospel story. More than a traditional concert, Messiah Project 2026 unfolded as an immersive experience of music, narrative, and transformation.
