Public Indecency Policy

As a Christian Community whose desire it is to promote behavior that is consistent with the mission to develop whole and effective Christians for Christ and His Kingdom, Wheaton College adheres to the Criminal Law of Illinois prohibiting public indecency and public nudity which would fall under the category Disorderly Conduct (Code: 720 ILCS 5/26-1 (a) (1)). Therefore, it is College policy that nudity outside of the student’s room or restroom is considered public nudity. Any students participating in these acts can expect a $100 fine and a disciplinary response.
