Since our founding in 1986, Discipleship Ministries has always believed in “students leading students to follow Jesus.” The yearly recruitment of student leaders is essential to this ministry and to the thriving of spiritual life at Wheaton College. For over 40 years, Wheaton College students have been intentionally meeting together, studying the Scriptures, praying for one another and the world, practicing vulnerable fellowship, and spurring one another on to love and good deeds. The invitation is open to all students: come, follow Jesus, and learn together to walk a life of love in the Spirit!
Discipleship Ministries recruits three different types or “levels” of student leaders. Learn more about student leadership opportunities at the bottom of this page!
- Leaders: in pairs of two, our leaders cultivate small groups for peers all around campus.
- Coaches: seasoned small group leaders who offers a weekly space of rest, counsel, and discipleship for our Leaders.
- Cabinet: cabinet members form a working group led by DM Staff to provide executive leadership, administrative support, and monthly trainings for the flourishing of small groups around campus.
