Prior to registration, you can tell which credits will and won’t apply to CPOS for your advisees by using the "What-If" and "Future Classes" features on the New Degree Works Dashboard. Here's how:
- Underneath the header, you’ll see two options: "Academic" and "What-If." Select “What-If.”
- Then check the “Use current curriculum” box.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the course(s) your advisee is planning to register for in the next semester under “Future Classes.”
- Select “Process,” and you’ll see a Degree Works evaluation that puts your advisee’s future courses into their appropriate places.
- Scroll to the General Electives block. If your advisee is planning to take any courses that are not required for their Program of Study, the courses will appear in the “CPOS-ineligible” section.
After registration, the courses in the current or future semesters that do not apply to CPOS will also appear in your advisees’ Degree Works header.
The CPOS process will be run administratively after registration. After CPOS is run, the courses in the current or future semesters that do not apply to CPOS will also appear in your advisees’ Degree Works header.
