Accord Network Partnership
Be inspired. Be challenged. Be equipped.
Together, Wheaton College and the Accord Network are partnering to help active Accord Network member employees deepen their expertise, strengthen their leadership, and expand their impact through graduate study. Through a dedicated Accord Network cohort, experienced practitioners can earn an M.A. in Humanitarian & Disaster Leadership or an M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership while learning alongside peers who share a commitment to serve the most vulnerable through Christ-centered relief and development work.
The M.A. in Humanitarian & Disaster Leadership equips leaders and emerging leaders to serve in humanitarian, disaster, and development contexts through faith-based leadership and evidence-based care. The M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership prepares leaders to launch, lead, and grow mission-driven organizations with faith, innovation, a relational approach, and professional skill.
As part of the cohort, you will take one – two online courses at a time with fellow Accord Network employees, building a learning community shaped by shared experience, mutual support, and a shared desire to serve the most vulnerable and the global Church. Participants also receive a generous scholarship toward tuition as part of the Accord Network cohort.
FAQs
A cohort is a group of learners who move through the program together, creating space for meaningful connection, shared learning, and lasting professional relationships. Rather than completing the program independently, cohort members learn alongside one another over time, strengthening both their leadership and their sense of community.

These programs are designed to fit the realities of working professionals while offering meaningful connection with faculty and peers.
M.A. in Humanitarian & Disaster Leadership
- 10 months, full-time on campus
- 2–3 years, part-time hybrid
M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership
- 2–3 years, part-time hybrid
The part-time hybrid format allows learners to complete most coursework online while attending two 4–5 day on-campus intensives: one at the beginning of the program and one at the end. These intensives provide valuable opportunities to engage in person with faculty, fellow cohort members, and Accord Network leaders.
No. The hybrid format allows you to remain in your community and continue in your current role while earning your degree.
Most courses are offered online in 7- or 15-week terms and can be completed from anywhere. This structure allows you to apply what you are learning directly to your professional context as you progress through the program.
If a full cohort of employees from Accord member organizations enrolls in the program together, each participant will receive a group-rate scholarship toward tuition. If members choose to complete the program alongside other Wheaton learners rather than with a full Accord cohort, a self-paced discount rate is still available for Accord members. Employers may also contribute to the cost as part of continuing education support.
