Meet the People Behind the Documentary


Dr. Vincent Bacote

Vince BacoteVincent Bacote (Ph.D., Drew University) is Professor of Theology and the Director of the Center for Applied Christian Ethics at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. Dr. Bacote’s publications include the books Reckoning with Race and Performing the Good News: In Search of a Better Evangelical Theology (2020) and The Political Disciple: A Theology of Public Life.  He has contributed to books including Cultural Engagement: A Crash Course in Contemporary Issues (2019), and Black Scholars in White Space (2015). He is a fellow for the Center for Public Justice as well as a senior fellow for the Trinity Forum. He has been an Assistant Theology Editor for Christianity Today and has been a columnist for Comment (wrf.ca/comment) and has also had articles appear in magazines such as The Banner, Books and Culture, Christianity Today, Think Christian and Re: Generation Quarterly and journals such as The Journal of Markets and Morality, Christian Scholars Review, Urban Mission and The Journal for Christian Theological Research. An avid tennis player, occasional bass guitarist and incessantly curious person, he lives in the Chicago area with his family.

Edward Gilbreath

ed gilbreathGilbreath has spent the last three decades as an editor, journalist, and manager at Christianity Today and other media ministries. He is the author of several books about the intersections (and collisions) of faith and race, including Reconciliation Blues and Gospel Trailblazer, the autobiography of Rev. Howard Jones. Ed has also served as the executive director of communications for the Evangelical Covenant Church, the founding editor of UMI’s urbanfaith.com, and an executive editor at Inter Varsity Press. He holds a B.A. in communication arts from Judson University and an M.A. in philosophy of history from Olivet Nazarene University. Ed and his wife, Dana, have two adult children and reside near Chicago. 


Daniel Long

daniel longAs owner and creative director of Long Winter Media, Daniel makes international documentaries and animations to bridge the imagination gap between the world as it is and as it could be. His work has helped inspire people to participate in and raise millions for development in clean water, healthcare, and education around the world. With an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary, Daniel specializes in leading every team and client to bring out the fullest moral, social, and spiritual value of their work.

Jill Caballero

Jill CaballeroJill Caballero holds a B.A. in sociology from Wheaton College and is a musician that loves all things flute and leading Parkview’s Women’s Bible Study in worship. She worked as Director of Community Outreach at an Evangelical Covenant Church and Executive Assistant at a Chicago family investment firm before staying home to raise her two children. She currently serves as Project Coordinator for the Center for Applied Christian Ethics at Wheaton College.  She and her husband Rene enjoy long bike rides, hiking, kayaking and spending time with family. They and their two children live in the Chicagoland area.
