Fall 2026

• Sonnets and Cider. Join the Batson Shakespeare Society for the fifth annual Sonnets & Cider! Gather around the fire on Wednesday, September 30 at 7PM, as we read, perform, and listen to favorite Shakespearean sonnets.

• Fall Shakespeare Lecture. On Thursday, October 29th at 7:00 pm, Dr. Richard Hughes Gibson will present the annual fall lecture on King Lear, with a performance by Prof. Mark Lewis. This event is open to the public and will be held in the Bakke Auditorium at the Marion E. Wade Center.
• Shakespeare in the Dark. Join Prof. Mark Lewis and Wheaton students as they present scenes from Shakespeare around campus! Date TBD.

Spring 2027

• E. Beatrice Batson Shakespeare Lecture:  Dr. Timothy Pyles will present the spring Batson Shakespeare Lecture. Date TBD. This event is open to the public and will be held in the Bakke Auditorium at the Marion E. Wade Center.
