About Sharon Polifrone
Sharon Polifrone is a graduate of the Juilliard School and has been on the faculty of Wheaton College since 1999. Ms. Polifrone has been Assistant Concertmaster of the Lyric Opera of Chicago since 1992 and also serves as Principal Second Violin of the Music of the Baroque Orchestra. She was on the faculty of Northwestern University for four years and has been a member of the Audubon Quartet, the first foreign chamber group to tour China after normalization. Ms. Polifrone has performed as soloist with numerous orchestras in the U.S. and abroad, including the Richmond Symphony, the Green Bay Symphony, the Arlington Symphony, the Prague National Orchestra and the Lisbon National Orchestra. She has premiered many contemporary works dedicated to her and has recorded for Orion, Priceless, Opus One, Cedille, and Albany Records.
