About Jullianne Tehan
Cellist Julieanne MacLean Tehan has a vibrant musical career in the Chicago area. She is a professional member of the Elmhurst Symphony, performs with the Rockford Symphony, and is a valued chamber musician for many community events which you can find at www.JulieanneTehan.com. She has also been featured as guest soloist with College of Dupage Orchestra. In addition, Julieanne participates in many recording projects with local composers.
An active and passionate teacher, Julieanne is a certified Suzuki Method instructor, having completed certification in all ten Suzuki books with Tanya Carey. She is a faculty member at the Wheaton College Conservatory since 2008 and also at the Community School of the Arts since 2004.
Julieanne received her bachelor degree in cello performance at the Wheaton College Conservatory. She then received her Master degree at the DePaul University where she studied with Steve Balderston.
She works to balance her performing and teaching schedule with her family life, being the mother of two young boys, and is thankful for her children and husband's unending patience, love, and support. Above all else, she remains thankful to God for blessing her with the gift of music that she may share with others.
