Now that you’ve been accepted, you have access to the secure Wheaton Portal at portal.wheaton.edu. Your NetID account and your official @my.wheaton.edu email address are vital communication tools between you and the Wheaton College community.
What is the Wheaton Portal?
The Wheaton Portal, a password-protected web portal, allows you to access information about Wheaton and your student account in a secure environment. By logging in with your NetID account, you’ll have access to:
- Financial aid information: If you’re a financial aid applicant, sign in to view the status of your aid application. Check to see if there are any outstanding requirements. When your financial aid award is determined, you can view it right away in the Wheaton Portal.
- Residence Life: Register for housing.
- Class Schedule: Look up course information and availability that you need for registration – schedule, class size, number of seats remaining, and possible closures.
- Student Account: View your account and billing information.
By following the steps to set up your NetID account, you’ll also activate your Wheaton email address, hosted by Gmail (@my.wheaton.edu). If you’re applying for financial aid, it’s important to have access to this email account – Student Financial Services and other campus departments send all communication to it. You also have the option of automatically forwarding mail from this account to another email address of your choice.
How Do I Get Started?
Find your NetID, which is printed on your acceptance letter. (This is not the five-digit ID). You’ll need it to set up your account (and you’ll have it memorized soon enough).
Go to the Academic and Institutional Technology's page for new students and follow the instructions to set up your NetID account.
During the account set up process, we’ll send a verification code to the email address that you provided in your admissions application. You can contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 800.222.2419 to verify your email address.
