Alumni, College leadership, and other members of the Wheaton community gathered at the construction site just north of Chrouser Sports Complex, between Chrouser and Fischer Hall.

As an important component of the Faithfully Forward campaign, this $23 million project will support Wheaton’s Christ-centered athletics programs, build on the College’s history of competitive excellence, and enhance student-athletes’ experiences.

“This expansion will significantly enhance the daily experience of our student-athletes, equipping them to train, recover, and compete at the highest level,” said Wheaton College President Philip Ryken. “The new facility reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in both faith and athletics. We are grateful for those who have invested in this crucial project and excited to see these new spaces strengthen our programs for generations of Thunder athletes to come.”

Approximately 200 people attended the ceremony. The program included a time of prayer, gratitude for supporters and partners, and the ceremonial groundbreaking, followed by refreshments.

Wheaton expresses gratitude to all who attended and celebrated this special occasion. To learn more about how these renovations will support Thunder Athletics or to make a gift, please visit: wheaton.edu/forward
