Orientation 2021 Arrival Dates
Wheaton is preparing to welcome new students to campus for Orientation in August! Watch the video below that explains the arrival and move-in process at each residence hall location.
New students may move into their residence halls on Thursday, August 19 between 4-8pm or Friday, August 20 between 9am-5pm. When arriving on campus, First Year students living in Fischer or Smith-Traber should check in at the tent at their residence hall and Transfers check in at the tent on the north side of the Welcome Center, 301 N. Chase St. The Sophomore Re-Orientation Cohort* may move in during the times allotted for Transfers.
Due to breakout programming, the following students may move in on Thursday, August 19 between noon-5pm:
- International students (F-1 Visa/MK/TCK)
- Music majors
- First Generation college students
- ROTC students
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the Thunder Move-in team of upperclass students who will eagerly empty your car and move your belongings into your room. Thunder Movers will help students settle in, answer questions, offer directions, and advise on room set-ups! New students should stop by the welcome tent at your residence to check in and pick up some Wheaton swag.
Parents are encouraged to stop by the parent welcome tent, located on the lawn across from Fischer or the lawn of Smith-Traber. Transfer parents, you’re invited to make your way to one of these locations as well.
Please wear face coverings when inside campus buildings.
