Are You Ready to Come Alive!?
Have you ever wondered how being a Christ follower should impact how you view your physical body?
Are you challenged by trying to balance all your responsibilities with taking care of yourself?
Do you spend too much time worrying about your body?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, join with other Wheaton students for an 8-session small group program to get energized spiritually & physically by discovering a new rhythm in your daily life.
The three guiding principles of the program are to:
- Seek God First
Come Alive! starts with our relationship with God
- Love and Be Loved
You’ll explore how to accept God’s love for you exactly as you are…and let that love flow through you to other people
- Honor God With Your Body
Enjoy God’s bounty of colorful, tasty and nutritious whole food for us to eat. You’ll learn together how to choose or prepare quick, delicious, healthy meals!
When will the groups start?
Our office will start collecting names through mid-end of January and then form our groups.
How often will the groups meet?
Each group will decide when they want to meet each week. The study has 8 sessions which are about 90 minutes each. Outside of the sessions, the “Warm Up” reading takes about 15 minutes.
Who will lead the groups?
It is designed to be run by students where the facilitator is also a participant; we will have a facilitator training session prior to the groups starting.
Is there a cost for the program, and what will the time commitment be?
There is participant guide available for each person to purchase ($27). Scholarships are available upon request through Student Health Services.
Small Groups of various sizes and types will launch in January 2019!
If you are interested, please fill out the form below and someone from Student Health Services will reach out to you.
