As Director of International Student Programs, Jerry empowers international students (F-1 visa, MKs & TCKs) to flourish by advising student organizations (Axis, Ladder, and MuKappa), advocating for international student needs, mentoring students, and providing leadership for immigration services. Partnering with his office staff and student leaders, Jerry seeks to fulfill a vision of developing students as followers of Christ and global citizens through relationships that foster belonging, active learning experiences, and meaningful engagement with their communities. He considers it a privilege to know God more deeply through his experience, and support of, a vibrant and multicultural community at Wheaton.
Jerry celebrates daily the gift of being husband to Joan (’07), and father to Noah and Luther. He enjoys cooking traditional foods from Ecuador (where his family is from) and Chile (where he lived until high school) and is an avid fan of world futbol. On Sundays, you can find Jerry at Wellspring Alliance Church where he worships in community and teaches Sunday school for K-5th graders.

Cheryl has worked in International Education for almost 15 years. As the Office Coordinator, she works to keep the office organized and running smoothly but also to be a home away from home for Wheaton students. Her favorite things about the ISP office are when it is full of students hanging out and speaking different languages and the privilege of praying for our students.
Cheryl attends The Chapel in Hinsdale with her family. She and her husband Mark will soon be empty nesters as the last of three children is off to college. That give her more time to walk her Yellow Lab named Baby, watch baseball, cook, and learn Mandarin.

Sunny is currently pursuing an M.A. in Christian Formation and Ministry with a concentration in Student Development. She is passionate about working with and doing life alongside students as they grow throughout their college career. She is excited to be working in the ISP office and looks forward to creating and fostering a safe place where international, MK and TCK students feel a sense of belonging. Furthermore, she gets excited when people from different cultures and backgrounds work collaboratively to create something good.
Sunny is a missionary kid who was born and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand but she is ethnically Korean. You will probably catch her hanging out in the ISP office, talking about food, sitting outside in the sun or watching Black Mirror with friends.
