Late Departure, Remote Learning, Christmas Break and Spring 2021 Early Arrival
Campus housing will close on Saturday, November 21st at 5pm for Thanksgiving Break. Classes will transition to remote learning on Monday, November 30. If you are not able to leave campus by 5pm on November 21st, you may request a late departure. Deadline to request a fall late departure is Friday, November 6. If we are able to approve requests submitted after November 6, a $25 late fee will be billed to the student's account.
As a way to care for our community by helping to prevent any possible post-Thanksgiving holiday outbreaks, students are expected to return home to finish the semester before returning in January 2021. However, Wheaton will continue to provide housing and meals for students supported by the International Student Programs office as needed. We will also work to accommodate students with educational continuity needs such as engineering students, nursing students, and student teachers. All other individual requests to stay on campus beyond Thanksgiving break must receive approval through the Student Development Office. All students need to request approval by submitting a break housing request.
Deadline to submit a request is November 6, 2020. Requests received after November 6, will incur a $25 late fee.

Students currently living in residence halls will be moved to open apartments on campus or, with permission from the current residents, they may stay in a friend's apartment who is of the same gender.
The dining hall will be closed over Christmas Break. Students' fall semester ID will not be active and as part of the approval process, you will be given a key to the apartment where you will be staying over semester break.
